Building a stronger Halfway River First Nation β€” from Tiny Homes to roads, community facilities, and essential services infrastructure.

πŸ”¨ Recent Projects β€” 2023 Construction Season

Halfway River First Nation (HRFN) is undertaking many construction projects, and several have already been completed. During the 2023 construction season, major milestones were achieved:

🏠 8 Tiny Homes

Eight Tiny Homes were installed on prepared lots throughout the community, providing much-needed housing for members.

⛩️ Arbor

Construction of a community Arbor was started β€” a gathering space that honours our culture and brings the community together.

🍳 Kitchen & Bath Building

A Kitchen and Bath Building was started to support community events and member needs on reserve.

πŸ›£οΈ Road Paving

All community roads were paved, significantly improving safety and accessibility for all HRFN members.

πŸ“ Housing Types

1 Bed Tiny Home

1 Bed Tiny Home β€” Designed for single occupants, offering comfortable and efficient living on reserve.

2 Bed Tiny Home

2 Bed Tiny Home β€” Designed for small families, providing safe and affordable on-reserve accommodation.

πŸ” Upcoming Projects

This year, we plan to see the Skating Rink Roof completed and the new Health Unit started. Other projects we are working on include a Fire Hall, a new Operations and Maintenance Shop, and a Campground. HRFN is remotely located approximately 1.5 hours from Fort St. John β€” the proposed infrastructure will provide access to important resources within the community.
