Our holistic approach to education reflects our belief that meaningful opportunities for growth and improvement should be accessible to all. We work collaboratively with students, parents, and community members to tailor education planning and programming to meet individual needs, starting from daycare and extending far beyond.

The Education Department is steadfast in its commitment to helping our members achieve their educational aspirations. We proudly support students attending a diverse array of educational institutions, ensuring that the path to knowledge is as diverse as our community. With a vision for employment and a high quality of life for all members, we diligently work towards achieving these goals.

The Local Education Agreement (LEA) signed between HRFN and School District 60 is to prepare students for post-secondary education or the workforce, fostering self-identity, self-reliance, and a lifelong love for learning.

Recognizing that the responsibility for education lies with the Band, we believe that the responsibility for learning belongs to the student.
